Surface Hydrants

Surface hydrants provide a convenient method of supplying effluent from a surface MDPE pipeline to a draghose and irrigator.

Surface polyethylene pipeline sections are connected together using camlock couplings. It is often difficult to reconnect the MDPE pipeline sections together after they have been disconnected as the MDPE pipe expands and contracts due to temperature changes.

Surface hydrants include a short section of rubber layflat hose which facilitates connection and disconnection.
